Celebrating Apprenticeships: A Visit from the Mayor of Rochdale

At Salt Separation Services, we believe that the future of our industry lies in the next generation of engineers and innovators. That’s why we were proud to recently welcome the Mayor of Rochdale alongside representatives from Hopwood Hall College to our office for a special visit celebrating our apprenticeship program, Salt Sep Academy.

The day began with a presentation from our Senior Leadership Team, offering insight into Salt Sep, our values and the opportunities we create for apprentices and employees alike. This was followed by an engaging discussion about our apprenticeship program, where our guests were able to hear first-hand from our apprentices about their experiences so far, their career aspirations and the skills they are developing.

To complete the visit, our guests were given a tour of our office and workshop. This provided a closer look at the type of work apprentices will be involved in, from hands-on technical projects to supporting our teams across different departments. Importantly, it demonstrated how apprentices are not just trainees but valued members of the Salt Sep team from day one.

Welcoming the Mayor of Rochdale was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how we are investing in skills, careers and people. It also reinforced the vital role apprenticeships play in shaping both the future of our company and the wider engineering industry.

At Salt Sep, we are proud to provide clear pathways for professional growth, helping apprentices build long-term careers while contributing to the success of our projects across the globe.
