Reverse Osmosis Plant Spares and Support for British Antarctic Survey (BAS)

British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is one of our valued after sales customers, relying on our supply of Reverse Osmosis plant spares and consumables to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of their plants in Antarctica. Operating in such a harsh environment requires a consistent and reliable source of consumables, and we are proud to provide BAS with the necessary support to keep their RO systems running smoothly.

Beyond supplying BAS with essential Reverse Osmosis plant spares and consumables, we also provide them with a range of other services to ensure their operations are efficient and reliable.

Annual Training

Before embarking on their long journey to Antarctica, we conduct yearly training sessions for BAS staff members. The training is tailored to cover various aspects of the RO plant operation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Our aim is to provide the crew with all the knowledge and skills necessary to operate the plants in the correct way.

Equipment Testing

Critical equipment, including test kits, relief valves and instrumentation, is returned to our works from the Antarctic in order for us to test and re-certify the equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Any components that fail calibration are repaired or replaced as necessary, ready to be returned to BAS’s research stations.

Site Visit

In response to the length of time BAS’s plants have been operating in Antarctica, one of our experienced service engineers conducted a site survey/audit of the plants. This was conducted to assess the plants’ performance, allowing us to provide valuable recommendations for optimising plant performance.
