Developing the Next Generation of Engineering Talent

About to run for it’s second year, SaltSep Academy provides a structured pathway for engineering apprenticeships, combining formal qualifications with hands-on experience across our business to help aspiring engineers build the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career.

Our programme is designed to develop well-rounded engineers by combining classroom learning with real-world exposure to a wide range of functions and disciplines.

Earn While You Learn

SaltSep Academy offers a paid apprenticeship pathway, enabling apprentices to gain valuable industry experience while working towards nationally recognised qualifications.

The first year of the programme combines work and study, providing apprentices with the opportunity to achieve a Level 2 Engineering Operative qualification while attending day release education at Hopwood Hall College.

Through a balance of practical learning and academic study, apprentices develop a strong foundation in engineering principles, safe working practices and professional development.

A Clear Development Pathway

Following successful completion of the first year, apprentices have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship programme during Years 2–4.

As skills and experience develop, apprentices can pursue specialist career paths and benefit from clear internal progression opportunities across multiple areas of the business.

Safety and Professional Development

Health and safety are fundamental to everything we do. From day one, apprentices are introduced to our strong safety culture and safe working practices, ensuring they develop the knowledge and behaviours required to work safely and responsibly.

Alongside technical training, SaltSep Academy supports personal and professional development, helping individuals build the skills needed for a rewarding long-term career.
