It is estimated that every year, 2 million tonnes of WEEE (Waste, Electrical & Electronical equipment) is discarded in land fill sites. This impacts the local environment as hazardous substances leak into the soil.
As a company, we recognise our operations affect the environment and we are committed to reducing our impact where possible. As such we will endeavour to ensure that all of our computer waste is disposed of in an appropriate manner to protect the environment as we work towards ISO14001 accreditation.
We chose to use WEEE charity as they are a local charity registered with the environment agency, that repurposes old equipment to help relieve poverty within the UK. They recycle and refurbish equipment and provide equipment to businesses, residential and education facilities to reduce waste sent to landfill.
The company is constantly monitoring its resources to ensure that they are commensurate with the needs of the business, this includes investment into the latest technologies including the upgrading of IT systems and network.
